After twenty years in the insurance industry, Daniel P. McNeil and Laeron C. Evans, who are life-long friends, formed a partnership and began Apex Restoration. Their dream was to help anyone affected by a disaster and restore their homes, businesses and most importantly-their lives.

Unlike other restoration companies, Apex Restoration is not a franchise. It is locally owned and operated. Resources from all branches can be used for multiple-claim occurrences, such as severe weather. We base our success on being relational rather than merely focused on transactions and are guided by our values and integrity.

Apex Restoration employs more than 60 people in 4 branches and utilizes a network of 400 professional contractors.

Apex Restoration has a team of qualified professionals who are educated, trained and certified by the leading restoration organizations.

Staff members carry certifications in mold remediation from the Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA), and certifications in water, fire and smoke damage restoration from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration (IICRC).

    Our Team

    Daniel P. McNeil, President and Co-Owner, is originally from Springfield, Ohio. McNeil has 16 years experience in the insurance industry, working as an adjuster and a restoration contractor before starting his own company, Apex Restoration. He holds a bachelor’s in aviation management from Southern Illinois University which he used in the Navy as an air traffic controller. He is certified in mold remediation and fire/smoke and water damage restoration. Dan personally oversaw much of the restoration of Apex Restoration’s first Chrysalis Award-winning project, a home in Middletown, Ohio.

    Laeron C. Evans, Vice-President and Co-Owner, is originally from Minneapolis, Minn. He also served in the Navy as an air traffic controller before attending Old Dominion University. He was recruited into the restoration industry by McNeil and co-founded the company with him. He is also certified in mold remediation and fire/smoke and water damage restoration. Laeron directly oversaw the Chrysalis Award-winning restoration of two homes: one in Middletown, with President Dan McNeil, and one in Beavercreek, Ohio.

    Tony Pickett, Vice President of Operations, has over 20 years of experience in the industry. Tony owned and operated multiple small to mid size organizations and brings direction, knowledge, and integrity to the Apex team.

    Terry Lay, Cincinnati General Manager, has worked in the restoration industry since 1989. He is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati in business management and Northern Kentucky University in marketing. He is also certified in mold remediation as well as fire/smoke and water damage restoration. Terry was instrumental in helping APEX win our latest APEX Chrysalis award. He worked tirelessly on the project to ensure the Pastor that his church would be under cover by nightfall—and he achieved that goal. Terry and his team took special care in restoring the church and maintaining the integrity and character of the 100 year old building.

    Paul Wyatt, Dayton General Manager, is originally from Beavercreek Ohio. Paul has 22 years of experience in the new home building and restoration industry providing quality work and outstanding customer service.

    Troy Yeager, Columbus General Manager, is originally from Tipp City Ohio. Troy has 15 years of experience in new home building and restoration. He served in the Army as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. Troy has managed a wide variety of major projects ranging from the construction of 250 unit townhome developments to million dollar plus home communities in the Carolinas.

    Brian Shampton, Springfield General Manager, is originally from Springboro Ohio. He has been with Apex Restoration for more than five years. He is certified in mold remediation and fire/smoke and water damage restoration.
